retaining mystique while facing forward

Hi, I'm Nik, welcome to my party. I'm an east-coast girl in a west-coast world. I'm a coffee-slinger. Sometimes I sing while doing it. I do a lot of forum roleplaying and I'm married to pretty much the most incredible man on the planet. Think Christopher Turk from "Scrubs," but if he was a software programmer.

I love:
Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Community, Psych, Castle, Parks and Rec, Burn Notice, Grimm, Once Upon a Time, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, Happy Endings, How I Met Your Mother, Dark Angel, Scrubs, Friends and TO BE WATCHED: Dr. Who, Supernatural

The Fifth Element, The Professional, Inception, The Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings, The Fountain, any Jane Austen book made into film, all things zombie-related...

Time Traveler's Wife, A Song of Ice and Fire, House of Leaves, Harry Potter, The Song of the Lioness and pretty much anything Tamora Pierce has written, Neil Gaiman, Octavia Butler, Chuck Palahniuk...

The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, Andrew Bird, Florence + the Machine, Lupe, Fiasco, Bon Iver, The Mountain Goats, Adele, Childish Gambino, Barenaked Ladies, Regina Spektor, John Legend, Robin Thicke, Jason Mraz, Ingrid Michaelson, The Foreign Exchange...

Donald Glover, John and Hank Green, Nathan Fillion, Neil Patrick Harris, Nicholas Cage, The Pittsburgh Steelers, Anthony Bourdain, Adam Richman...

My thighs do more than touch. They share mystical secrets and whisper spells as I walk.

I’m in love with that comment…

The beauty of the comment….I’m just sitting here like wow.

That comment was just perfect.

I know there was a headcanon before about Phil being the son of someone from Doctor Who, but - come on. Fury’s always known that his real father is Agent K, thanks to a mysterious phone call a few months after he hired Phil, threatening to completely wipe his memory and make him believe he’s the prima ballerina for The New York City Ballet if anything should happen to Agent Coulson.

Fury wasn’t happy, but understood. Government men don’t play around when it comes to their kids. Plus, it gave him the perfect plan for Coulson’s eventual departure.

Phil, of course, is alive and well, serving as a mailman for a small town in Massachusetts.

The first one to visit Loki in his cell after he’s captured is Bruce. He slips in, quiet and unassuming, and just watches the god for a few moments before Loki finally turns to him, snarling, and demands to know what he wants. He says that he wanted to tell him that he knows what it feels like—to be locked up, feared, hated. He knows what it feels like to be a monster. To be shunned because of who you are. He says that he wouldn’t wish that feeling on anyone, not even Loki, and, just a teensy bit embarrassed, he apologizes for Hulk-smashing him into the concrete. Loki, for once, doesn’t know what to say. So he just stands there and stares at the scientist. Bruce didn’t really expect a response anyway so he turns to leave. He hears Loki’s whispered “…Thank you.” but he pretends he doesn’t. The god’s pride has suffered enough.

» Six Buffy Lines That Break My Heart

I don’t know the middle two off the top of my head, but now I want to rewatch. All. of. Buffy. I just rewatched “The Body” and it’s still as brilliant as it was the first bagillion times. Joss Whedon is just a genius.
